Mountain View Lodge is a sheep herding training facility in Woodford, Queensland. Although we are relatively new to sheep herding, we have people participating who have vast experience in ANKC Style Sheep Herding Competition.

Take the D'Aguilar Highway into Woodford. Kropp Road is on the left with the police station on the corner. Go out as far as you can. Mountain View Lodge is on the left-hand side where the bitumen becomes metal. If you drive onto the metal then back up; the driveway is on the left.

Schedule of fees

  • $10 per run (this helps us cover the cost of worming etc)
  • Formal instruction: $TBA
  • Ground hire for trials (available to CCQ affiliated clubs) - full day: $100 per day
  • Stock hire for trials - full day: $2.50 per head

Other relevant information

  • Grounds hire includes the use of granny flat with electricity, cooking facility, refrigerator and toilet.
  • A barbeque is available for hire on request.
  • Replacement cost for stock is $100 or cost of veterinary care.
  • The club or persons hiring the grounds are responsible for the safety and conduct of all handlers and their dogs whilst on the property. Damage to the grounds or property on the farm is the responsibility of the hirer.
  • Some areas are out of bounds. These include the house yard, the stables and any paddocks in which stock are grazing.
  • You must bring the necessary bags to collect your dog dropppings. A skip bin for rubbish is located at the front gate.
